General DescriptionThe
SP844 is a highly accurate and robust piezoresistive transducer. A silicon chip
is in contact with the transducer diaphragm and forms the active part of a
Wheatstone bridge. The disposable dome is easy to fill and is quickly coupled to
the transducer, without any liquid between transducer and dome diaphragms.
All
electrical parts of the transducer are isolated from the housing, and the
housing is isolated from the saline solution by the silicone diaphragm of the
dome. The SP844 is mainly used to register the arterial and venous blood
pressures during surgery and intensive care.
The transducer may also be used to measure intracranial, gastrologic and intrauterine pressures as well as urodynamic measurements by catherization. The transducer may be adapted to any kind of pressure registration equipment. The SP844 is made to satisfy requirements for a precision transducer at a very competitive price.
